How to reach us The Montjuic Castle lays on top of a hill besides Barcelona's harbor, very close to the center city. 
When coming from outside Barcelona, the best is reaching the harbour by the Ronda Litoral (Road B10) which lets you cross the city with no traffic lights at all, through exit number 21, labeled as "Port Vell. Paral·lel, Ciutat Vella". Then just follow the indications of Montjuïc, Museo Militar, Castell, and finally "Tir amb arc".
When reaching the castle turn right following the sign of "Tir amb arc" by the lane which brings you directly to the parking area. 
The Field Open is allways held in coincidence with a well known bycicle race climing the hill, taking the whole morning, so you may reach the castle only early moorning and till 08:15, as the road is afterwards being closed. Aprox at 14:30 the normal traffic is restabished. |
